Slade Farm once belonged to The Clovelly Estate and parts are believed to date back to about 1650. It was once a working farm with many acres of land but gradually most of these fields have been sold off. We bought the farm in 2012 with the remaining 8 acres. Since purchasing Slade Farm we have undertaken a huge renovation project with the house and the barns.
Myself, my husband, young baby and my mother lived in the South East. We decided to pool our resources and begin a new life in Devon.
Our first thoughts as we viewed the farm on a cold, foggy March day were how delightful and tranquil the location could be.
We could see the potential and most importantly a beautiful family home and an idyllic holiday location. We all loved it and were truly smitten!
I worked previously in the hospitality industry in a 5* hotel in Surrey. This has given me the skills and eye for detail that we feel people are looking for when enjoying their time away from home.
